Kimon Manolius has been an attorney for 24 years. He recently transitioned to a position at the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District. He assures that policies are in place to deliver the best possible and inexpensive transportation services for The Gateway. He provides advise and counsel to the transportation team. He also locates financing for their development and/or servicing projects. He deals with all constitutional issues as they relate to the transportation industry. He reports to a 19 member Board of Directors. Kimon teaches 1-2 classes per year the University of California Hastings School of Law, Stanford University and University of San Francisco School of Law. He enjoys mentoring young attorneys as well and welcomes all opportunities to do so. He feels a special obligation to do so because when he was new to the field, he was mentored by many seasoned attorney. When he began his first job as a young and eager attorney for a local township and worked within a pool of 200 other attorneys. In 7 years, he rose to the ranks of Managing Attorney of that office. There was a time in his early years, fresh out of school that he worked on the political campaign of presidential candidate, Michael Dukakis, and worked as a field organizer, earning $200.00 per week. He is no stranger to hard work and posturing himself for success. He believes that his work ethic, courage and always making people feel valued are his keys for success!
