Scott Weishaar has 32 years of experience in Information Technology 2/3 as a consultant 1/3 as a full time employee. Most roles have been in very technical leadership and now in technical management. Scott had some significant successes and a high rate of successful projects he is responsible for managing. He began his career as technologist engineering software in an era where software development included all aspects of the SDLC,working through the era of specialization of roles by function within the SDLC and now with Agile spreading, again working in full life-cycle development. Software development being inclusive of all aspects of the process more often than high degrees of specialization, although today there is a mix depending on market, industry and company. Early on, Scott worked to re-engineer a small division in a large corporation from multiple platforms, languages and hundreds of programs to a single platform and suite of programs supporting an efficient process successfully, allowing it to become an independent subsidiary and sold as a stand-alone business. This experience led to many successful years in technology consulting. As his level of responsibility increased, projects expanded to include professional services performing assessments of both enterprise suites of applications and those with a strong focus on data. Scott worked on building data warehouses and business intelligence solutions as well as to assess and enhance their infrastructure, meta data, data quality and enhance the quality of derived data. His work also included a great deal of custom software and integration. Scott is a born critical thinker making him a natural problem solver and analyst causing him to successfully solve issues and design solutions whether technical, process, or business in nature. He enjoys working with both technology and the stakeholders in need of the resulting advancement. While working in more senior roles, Scott enjoyed both leadership (Software Development Management, Project Owner/Manager) roles and keeping his hands on technology both coding solutions as well as during analysis and design applying OO experience and heavy data access background in all roles. After decades in IT seeking to work in a capacity where a difference can be made and knowledge of how the many layers in the n-tier stack have evolved to be what they are today has helped to continue a history of delivering successful results.
