Roy is the founder and CEO of VISTA Worldlink which has been operating for the past 27 years. The company now includes Sterling Studios as well, and is one of the last independently owned and operated companies in the media industry. As family ran operation, the company focuses on satellite space segment and television production with connectivity via fiber and satellite. As the CEO, Roy's responsibilities lie in the areas of strategy, personnel, administration, finance, engineering and sales. VISTA Worldlink is a global, full and occasional transmissions service, offering network management, television production, video conferencing services and broadband applications. It has provided 25,000 hours of occasional use satellite time per year for clients such as Fortune 500 companies, broadcasters, cable programmers, educational institutions, government agencies and news organizations, as well as for high profile events. Roy has a wide background in his field, first as director of business development for Automation House from 1977-1980, then as assistant professor at New York Institute of Technology from 1978-1983, followed by director of business development at Rainbow Media from 1983-1988, and finally the creation of VISTA Worldlink and Sterling Studios. He attended Brooklyn College, receiving both a Bachelors Degree in 1975 in television and then a Masters Degree in 1977 in television as well. Roy is a member of SSPI (Society of Satellite Professionals International and CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association). Roy is a proponent of customer service and support as well as client respect and he credits both of these traits as well as perseverance, combined with that proverbial "little bit of luck" as the reasons for his success.
