Professional Summary
Ms. Carpinteyro Calderon is a Harvard Law educated Lawyer, published author, and Federal Representative in the Mexican Congress. She also has prior experience as a senior level Telecommunications Executive, including six years with MCI in Brazil, where she was instrumental in the commercial success of the business. She was involved in leading many important projects while in Brazil and she grew professionally, but decided to follow her passion and belief in "giving voice" to those who need help by pursuing her career in the public sector. Purificación initiated contact with like-minded, influential people in Mexico and made the transition into politics. As a Federal Representative, Ms. Carpinteyro Calderon took the lead in drafting, preparing and passing a constitutional amendment in the Mexican Congress and she plans to continue her work to spread democracy in Mexico and make a difference in the lives of others. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and counts among her many accomplishments the successful publication of her book, El Fin de los Medios (The End of Media), and she looks forward to connecting with other Harvard Alumni and influential, like-minded professionals.
