Paul Besmertnik is the Construction Vice President of Haider Engineering, PC, and NYSDOT. He has over 38 years of overall experience in the civil engineering industry, and previously worked for NYSDOT for 15 years. Paul has been in his current position for 3 years, and spent time presenting at local community college and at ASCE in 2003. He has always loved building and was fascinated by bridges at a young age. He received his BA in Civil Engineering at Cooper Union, and his MA in Transportation Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic, 1972. He is very passionate about his goal is to continue working. Outside of work he enjoys photography of bridges.
