Professional Summary
I have been with Jackson Street Youth Shelter since January of 2005 where I began as a Case Manager. I took on the addtional duties of Activities and Follow-Up Care Coordinator in January of 2006. I also spent time working as an Evening and Weekend Hospital Advocate for the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence, and I am a test proctor for Services for Students with Disabilities at Oregon State University. In addition to these things, I am a trained support group facilitator through the Oregon Family Support Network (OFSN) and facilitate a general teen support group in Corvallis. I have worked with OFSN to develop a life skills education course for at-risk teens aged 16 to 18 that is set to begin in January of 2007. I also collaborate with the Benton County Juvenile Department, Benton County Health Department, and Linn-Benton-Lincoln Educational Services District on the Youth Incentive and Enrichment Program which offers fun and educational activities to outstanding participants in all four organizations.I will be studying abroad in Cork, Ireland from January to June of 2007. Upon return, I will be considering employment in the public health sector while completing my fifth and final year at Oregon State University.
