Jan Simons has been in Creative industry for more than 30 years , living and working in Amsterdam Netherlands Jan is Associate Professor Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam his role is to organize programs, assign graduate students , perform research , assist companies with developing new products and services,co-founder of the New Media program at the Faculty of Humanities UvA; project director Mobile Learning Game Kit , being the head of interface studies and a list of other responsibilities. Two latest projects are open online video and responsive environments. Jan is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German . Over the years Jan has found himself doing most of his business locally and regionally but has a research group of colleagues in the United Kingdom. Jan has a PhD in film and media studies. Jan has a few professional affiliations that he is currently involved with . Jan has published 2 books related to game studies, new media, political computing . Jan enjoys lots of water sports when he is not working . Jan bases all his years of experience and success on spotting things early, his knowledge, working with the right people.
