Professional Summary
Helen is a Senior Associate at the international law firm, SNR Denton. After completing her law degree at Oxford University, Helen attended bar school in London and was called to the Bar in England and Wales. She joined Denton Wilde Sapte LLP (now SNR Denton) and after completing two years training, she was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Since qualification, she has practised across a wide range of work within the Technology, Media and Telecoms sector. She has regularly advised a wide range of clients, both in the public and private sectors, on technology, outsourcing, privacy and e-commerce issues. She also has extensive experience of advising on intellectual property issues, particularly in relation to the licensing and commercial exploitation of intellectual property. She is also a specialist in media law, advising in particular on the regulation, licensing and distribution on media content on traditonal and new digital platforms. During her time with SNR Denton, she has also undertaken a number of secondments. She spent 10 months at Bank of America, to the UK regulator Ofcom and to Bank of America, acting as sole legal advisor to their procurement team for EMEA and Asia. She has also been on secondment to UK telecoms regulator OFTEL, the Royal Bank of Scotland and international television production company Endemol. In addition to her client work, she has also written articles and spoken at conferences on media, e-commerce and privacy issues. Topics include privacy on social networking sites, tackling online piracy and business models for online content services.
