He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering - Power from Wentworth Technical Institute in 1962, and with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri in 1960. He is a member of many prestigious organizations including NACE International - The Worldwide Corrosion Authority; ACS- American Chemical Society, AICHE- American Institute of Chemical Engineers; TAPPI- Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, BLRBAC (Black Liquor Recovery Boiler Advisory Committee), and ASME- The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. George also has certifications through NACE, BLRBAC, TAPPI, and AICHE. Initially, he started out his career working at Dow Chemical and was recruited by Halliburton where he stayed for 26 years. His corporation has more experience in chemical cleaning than any other technical advisory group in their field of expertise, and going forward, George looks to achieve steady growth and continued international experience. The key to his success is experience and understanding and solving problems. George is keen to network and believes it's important to establish connections with higher-ups at a variety of companies in a variety of industries. When he's not working, George enjoys farming on his 2 farms, travel, and spending time with family. He supports many different organizations including Rangeley Regional Health and Wellness Center in Maine, and for the past 4 years, the Amber Simmington Scholarship Fund, which has provided materials and financial support for high school students.
