Cecile Coune is CEO of Aviabel, a leading European insurer and reinsurer in aviation and related insurance. Cecile runs the day to day operations of the company regarding risk management, compliance, and company operations. She earned her CAPA from Brussels Bar Association in 2007, a Masters in Law from Ashridge Business School Strategic Management Programme in 1998, and an Executive MBA from the Université catholique de Louvain, Droit, 1985. In 1998, Cecile was one of 100 Belgian women selected by Mrs. Minister Milquet to be named “Business Woman of the Year” at the occasion of the International Women Day. Cecile serves as Co-founder and Vice-chairwoman of Women on Board and European Women on Boards, nonprofit associations that promote the participation of women on boards and aim to network, connect, and share best practices with other associations. She is actively involved with the International Association of Women in Aviation Club, L Benelux Cercle Royal des Assureurs de Belgique Association, des Juristes de l'Assurance De Warande Cercle de Lorraine Club, and International Château Ste Anne. Passionate about her work and dedicated to community values, Cecile is driven by a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of others and on our society as a whole.
