Alexandre Soares has more than 25 years of professional experience in his career. Currently, Alexandre is working as Director of Mutual Engineering out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has Extensive professional experience in civil construction, metal-mechanical and engineering-to-order (ETO) companies. He oversees the building of industrial plants with contracts developed in Brazil, Latin America and Africa, and over the years has led the management of metal building, prefabricated concrete and shipbuilding plants. He employs Lean Manufacturing and Lean Construction philosophies and various tools, such as Kaizen, Kanban, A3 projects, TPM, JIT, 5S, Set-Up reduction, among others, and also developed an R & D area, increasing the company's product range, promoting new policies and a new sales process, working closer to customers, all of which led to significant increases in number of customers and sale of new products, resulting in greater profit for the company. Alexandre was prompted to get involved in this profession by way of natural progression and passion. He holds a master's degree in Lean Construction from the Federal University of Rio Grande de Sul. He has been invited to do some public speaking engagements consisting of seminars and conferences, and has also been published a few times. He has received many honors and much recognition for his work and leadership over the years. In the next few years, Alexandre plans to continue to grow, continue to develop and continue to make a difference in his field. He bases his success on hard work and passion.
